The Architect

William Hogan Architecture was founded in Santa Monica in 1999 as a high quality, client centered boutique architecture practice. Now based in Redondo Beach, I'm a licensed Architect who graduated cum laude from California State Polytechnic University Pomona's school of architecture. I have over 35 years of professional experience in the architecture field.  My focus is residential and light commercial building design, renovation and restoration. I design using principles derived from Mid-Century Modern Los Angeles Architecture, and believe that function and form must be combined and balanced to achieve the beauty and utility demanded by good buildings. I strive to develop simple, graceful, affordable, and functional structures. My practice currently centers on accessory dwelling units ("ADUs") as a way for homeowners to add equity and a source of income to their existing homes. As a sole practitioner I offer a concierge level service to a select clientele, giving you a single source of responsibility for your building project.
